Phillips 66 traces its history back to 1905, when brothers Frank and L.E. Phillips struck oil in Oklahoma, leading to the 1917 launch of Phillips Petroleum Company. Phillips 66 introduced its first multi-grade motor oil in 1954, TropArtic All Season.

In 1979, it launched the aviation industry's first multi-viscosity, ashless dispersant oil, X/C. Phillips 66 branded products are highly regarded in a variety of industries, including the automotive, aviation, agriculture, construction, snowmobile, motorcycle, marine and industrial segments.
