ISO VG 460 | Rust & Oxidation Oil | Synthetic

Description

Synthetic Rust and Oxidation Oils are excellent lubricants that can fulfill the lubrication needs of various industrial and manufacturing tasks both in the plant and mobile. These synthetic oils are lab-formulated to have outstanding resistance to rust formation while boasting long lubricant life and increased viscosity indices. As these oils are generally used in various applications, they can be implemented into compressors, hydraulic systems, circulating systems, and some moderate and lightly-loaded gearboxes. These oils are most commonly employed as bearing lubricants, however, the list of applications that ISO VG 460 Bearing Oils are useful in is very long and wide-ranging.

ISO VG 460 oil has a midpoint kinematic viscosity of 460 cSt (centistokes). The midpoint is derived by taking the average of both the minimum and maximum kinematic viscosities which is accounted for by the AGMA designation. The maximum and minimum kinematic viscosity of an AGMA 7 oil is 506 mPa.s and 414 mPa.S, respectively. Averaging these two quantities together, the result is equivalent to the midpoint kinematic viscosity measured in the ISO VG testing mechanism.
