ISO VG 100 | Rust & Oxidation Oil | Food Grade

Bearings operating in machinery that is employed in manufacturing plants that process food and beverage items often benefit from specific lubricants intended to address toxicity issues that are common with regular lubricating oils. These food-grade bearing oils are registered as H1 (where there is a chance of contact with food) and H2 (where there is no chance of food contact) lubricants according to NSF International. These oils resist rust and oxidation and also meet various food certifications including Canadian Food Inspection Agency requirements and are certified Kosher and Pareve.

ISO VG 100 oil has a midpoint kinematic viscosity of 100 mm2/s, also referred to as centistokes (cSt). The midpoint is derived by taking the average of both the minimum and maximum kinematic viscosities. In the case of ISO VG 100 oil, those numbers are 90.0 cSt and 110.0 cSt, respectively. AGMA 3 lubricants have a minimum viscosity of 90 mPa.s and a maximum viscosity of 110 mPa.s. These numbers refer to the standard testing mechanisms used to determine how much resistance to flow (i.e. viscosity) these oils demonstrate.
